[MRNO] - Mock Roles, Not Objects

By: Steve Freeman, Tim Mackinnon, Nat Pryce, Joe Walnes

Paper presented at OOPSLA 2004 in Vancouver, BC Canada.

This paper describes the use of Mock Objects (page X) to help the developer discover the signatures of the objects on which the class being designed and tested depends. This allows the design of the supporting classes to be deferred until after the client classes have been coded and tested . The paper can be obtained by members at the ACM portal http://portal.acm.org/ft_gateway.cfm?id=1028765&type=pdf or at http://joe.truemesh.com/MockRoles.pdf.
